STORY of 404's BUILDOUT:
404 was purchased and planned by Debbie, Tom, and Nicole. My wife Patti, and Debbie traveled to Florida... not for a girls weekend, but to BUILD OUT unit 404. The furniture, Televisions, radios, appliances, utensils, you name it, have to be installed, and Debbie and Patti were going to do this one! They arrived in Florida Feb 6th 2008 and then the build out began, with 404 open for you as of 2/11/08.
Now, of course, this was BRUISING to the guys (Dave, Tom, John, and Daniel's) egos, since usually it is the GUYS going to Florida to do the build outs, and handling the drills, power tools, and move-in of all equipment...as you can see on the other pages here on the website. So the pressure was on the girls this time around to buy all equipment and appliances, install and hang pictures, furnish, you name it! Could they do it? Could they do it in time? What would it look like?
John Cline, Tom Archakis, Daniel Robinson, and myself (the former buildout "GUYS") were waiting anxiously to see how Debbie and Patti would do! Would our egos be bruised? Would the girls do a better job than we did? Will we never hear the end of it? We awaited the abuse we were sure to take once 404 debuted as the most beautiful casual vacation condos today. The fun started the day the girls were to leave Chicago for Florida. A MASSIVE SNOWSTORM strikes and grounds them... as the clock ticks, the girls brush aside flight cancellations, snowstorms, and go on to make 404 one of the best Condos we have. Here is the actual post from that night, as the guys gloat over the girls getting stuck at midway airport:

Trying to catch a flight from Chicago to Orlando, Patti and Debbie are GROUNDED and now STUCK at the airport as one of the worst winter storms in decades rips through the Chicago area... as the guys down another beer, have some laughs, scratch and high five each other, the girls sort it out:

VALLEY WILL LIFT NE ACROSS THE MIDWEST TONIGHT AND
WEDNESDAY.
TOTAL SNOW ACCUMULATIONS BY WED EVENING WILL RANGE FROM NEAR
A FOOT FROM THE ROCKFORD AREA EASTWARD ALONG THE WI
LINE.TO AROUND 6 INCHES THROUGH THE I-80 CORRIDOR.
THE FIRST SEGMENT OF THIS STORM IS CURRENTLY MOVING THROUGH
SOUTHERN IN. THE HEAVIEST PRECIPITATION WITH THIS SYSTEM IS
NOW PASSING OFF TO THE SO. & EAST OF THE WARNING AREA.
HOWEVER.OCCASIONAL SNOW WILL PERSIST OVERNIGHT FROM NORTH
CNTL IL.EASTWARD ALONG THE WI STATE LINE WITH UP
TO 3 INCHES POSSIBLE OVERNIGHT.
A MIXTURE OF SLEET.SNOW & RAIN WILL CHANGE TO OCCASIONAL SNOW

UPDATE: 2/6/08 11:40 PM: Tonights Chicago to Orlando was CANCELED, sending their plan into a tailspin. They leave the airport and came back to the house. Trouble begins however, when prior to the cancel, they had already SENT THEIR LUGGAGE THROUGH... meaning now the flight was canceled but the airline HAD THEIR LUGGAGE!!!! Now what?
Luggage leaves for Orlando. Patti and Debbie still STUCK IN CHICAGO.
UPDATE: 2/7/08 7AM:
Debbie and Patti made a flight today to TAMPA because after the snowstorm passed, there were NO FLIGHTS left to Orlando!! They got the last minivan for rent and made their way from Tampa to Orlando airport, where they had to pick up their luggage! Tonight they are up working late, making runs to the store, putting things into 404 and taking furniture deliveries. They must also purchase all the technology like flat screen TV's, etc which as you know, is not their strong suit... we"ll see how it goes.

Well, the girls pulled it off. They did a great job. This is in very small type because none of us guys thought they could do it and they not only did it, it looks fabulous.... so part of the deal was that we had to admit it on the website... so we did. We did not agree to how large the font had to be.
